Silk Satin Patch-Pocket Blouse
The Art of Slowing Down.
The New York minute is now the standard definition of time. Hurry, hurry or you’ll miss it. Miss what, exactly? Something. Anything. You’ll miss… it.
This blouse can’t be rushed since, in operation, buttons take time. These aren’t those eye-popping gauche buttons nor are they those impossibly small fingernail destroyers. They are normal sized. There are seven of them. You’ll actually need to take a moment or two to execute their closure. As you’re looking down you’ll notice something sultry and delicious. Red silk satin.
You’ll begin to button slower, taking even more time. This concept of slow-dressing also applies to when the garment is taken off. As you can imagine, the suspense is downright maddening.
The cigarette-style ankle pant with the metal ring buckle is reminiscent of Paris in the 1930s. This is the city where architects, stone masons, carpenters, landscapers, and laborers made things irresistibly beautiful so that we’d spend an extra moment or two walking from place to place. These moments could last days, further complicated by the amount of times one might fall in love.
Take your time.
The rest of it will still be at your feet.
