Taffeta Resplendent Skirt
Taffeta, ah yes.
Unforgettable stuff for those who were of a certain age during the 1960s, but pretty scarce more recently.
The first time I got my hands on taffeta, it was at a prom, wrapped around Mary Jane Kilheifer’s waist. A watchful chaperone made sure my hands went no further.
I remember well the cool, crisp feel of that taffeta and the rustling sound it made, almost like some kind of promise.
The wonderful taffeta skirt we have here brings it all back in more adult form.
Instead of the somewhat naive pinks and blues of memory, this one is in an iridescent Black. Fascinates the eye. Gets some grown-up passion simmering.
It’s more tailored, too. The low-calf cut of silky material has a clean, pleated Hollywood waist and self belt along with the mandatory full sweep.
Taffeta Resplendent Skirt (No. 3054), as described, same cool, crisp feel and evocative rustle, with extra dimension added. Imported.
