LC Short English Trench
Tuesday — she sits at the next table, fumbling elegantly with a napkin. Probably nine generations of English aristocracy in that long neck, in the cut of her short trench coat, the velvet rose in her hat. Probably considers the Windsors upstarts. Perfect complexion.
Saturday — I think that’s her again, standing by the window. Same trench coat, but her hair is down. Faded jeans. Just the right amount of light seems to grace her again.
She said she found this in the Marché aux Puces de St Ouen. Instead of screaming for recognition, it contributed a general impression of quality and flair to her... “a well-chosen basic with a soupcon of being on a mission.”
