Chromatic Lace Dress
Cut it Out.
If something is too sumptuous, they’ll create sumptuary lawsto quell the extravagance. This is the same moral authority who saw it fit to impose skirt length restrictions. They’ve been making other decisions for you, too, like what a lace dress is supposed to say about you.
To them, if you’re in lace, you’re either being piously virtuous or twirling your finger around the glass rim of sensuality.
To be fair, this fitted sheath accentuates you in all the right places, so it is not the opposite of desirable (if such things matter). The demure cap sleeves are girly and innocent, so it is not the opposite of that, either. What this dress is not is monochromatic.
Think breaking the rules and having your cake, then eating it, and then going for seconds.
Now they’re all muttering to themselves.
Chromatic Lace Dress (No. 5762). Provocative poly floral lace sheath in a chromatic array of colors, including pink, coral, grey, black, and green. Falls just below the knee, completed with a silver-toned stretch lining. Square neckline with rounded corners, unlined cap sleeves, princess seams at bodice, and figure-flattering shaping darts at skirt. Exposed metal zipper at center back. Do you hear that? They’re still muttering. Imported.
