We no longer embark.
We now “pop-over,” or even worse, “cruise-by.”
Earhart embarked across the Atlantic. She did not “pop-over.” Sir Edmund Hillary embarked upon Mt. Everest. He did not “cruise-by.”
It’s time to rediscover embarking. There was a time when it was impossible to embark without feeling an immediate sensation of mystery, excitement, adventure and yes, hopefully a little fear.
I found this in a small bazaar in Amsterdam. The classic crossover cummerbund and Amsterdam flower patterns immediately caught my eye.
“Stand aside, my good fellow... I’m embarking for the elevator.”
Versatile enough for frequent adventures.
