LC Keukenhof Blazer
Abloom in April.
Europe’s most spectacular gardens are an hour from Amsterdam (by scooter, two hours) but they feel like a world away. Acres upon acres of bright bulbs. Secret winding paths.
Julia and I stroll the grounds, murmuring our appreciation for the rows and rows of color, wondering how we can keep this day alive, right there with us.
“I can see why you like it here.” I touch the elbow of her double-breasted blazer, which, with its wide vertical stripes in soft colors, reminds me precisely of the gardens without containing a single tulip. (Odd description, I know, but I swear that’s what I wrote on the napkin back at the Conservatorium.)
In other words: perfectly structured but gloriously feminine.
Keukenhof Blazer (No. 4297). Double-breasted blazer in linen-cotton blend. Fully lined in taffeta. Notch collar with peaked lapel. Yarn dyed stripes. Four wooden buttons down center front. Patch pockets at waist. Shoulder pads.
