Sand Washed Silk Blouse
…are special. Do you know the legend of Bombyx Mori? It is a legend, one of a few to be fair, about Leizu, the empress of China, and how she became the queen of silk… by happy accident.
As it goes, she discovered the ethereal silk cocoons of the Bombyx Mori while in the mulberry fields (mulberry is to the silkworm what cheese is to the French—a necessity). Back at the palace, Leizu marveled at the cocoon’s luminosity and texture while sipping her tea (another wonderful thing discovered by accident in China). Then—
She dropped the cocoon in her tea cup. The hot water softened the thread, separating it. Leizu unspooled it and discovered the fiber of silk. She’d go on to invent the reel, the loom, and basically achieve deity status in all things silky.
The series of events as to why you’re wearing this blouse might be by accident.
