Asymmetric Hem Blouse
You’ve heard of the social penetration theory developed by psychologists Irwin Altman and Dalmas Taylor in 1973? Simply stated, it says that we reveal ourselves in stages, as self-disclosure moves from shallow to more intimate. Peeling back layers of an onion and so on.
I’m no psychologist, but I wonder if those layers might be more fluid than the analogy suggests. If there’s some movement, a pas de deux of sorts, as layers float over each other.
Advance, retreat. Sometimes touching, sometimes not. Sometimes revealing, sometimes not.
I see that effect at work here.
Asymmetric Hem Blouse (No. 5832). Fluid, flowy, pullover-style sleeveless blouse in lightweight, sheer 100% silk georgette. V-neckline. Front of blouse is three breezy layers with asymmetric hem, top layer is split down center front. Back of blouse is two layers with shorter top layer. French seam finishes. Add air for full effect. Made in India.
