Ruffle Sleeve Blouse
All for Show.
Marie Antoinette loved all manner ofextravagant fashion (ruffles, especially), but her mother, the empress of Austria, was not having it. Once, upon receiving a portrait of her daughter dressed in magnificent finery, she wrote these chiding words: “As you know, I have always been of the opinion that fashions should be followed in moderation but should never be taken to extremes.”
With all due respect, never say never, Empress.
Sometimes more actually is more. This blouse is one such example. It belongs front and center. In front of the cameras.
Never with the wallflowers. Never behind the scenes. Nowhere dark. Nowhere ordinary.
Seen, admired, envied. It’s all for show.
