Striped Taffeta Blouse

No. 3201

GIFT BOX: (Add $6 dollars).

“Taffeta phrases, silken terms.” William Shakespeare

You don’t usually see taffeta in spring, except on bridesmaids.

Since it’s always been far more than a bridesmaid.

It lends an air of surprising elegance to a (relatively) simple blouse.

Taffeta adds a subtle sheen.

A smooth finish.

A crispness that is unique.

In stripes, the combination is worthy of Shakespeare.

Could have quite a bit to do with coming from Le Marais, the most aristocratic section of Paris.

Marais Striped Taffeta Blouse (No. 3201). Silk and cotton taffeta, which is Persian for “twisted” and “woven.” Spread collar enhances neckline, works equally well with or without a necklace. Five fabric-covered buttons in front. True French cuffs with self-fabric covered buttons doubling as cuff links. Rounded shirt tail hem. Clean interior seams. Box pleat at center back yoke. Slight nip in the waist.

I love women in taffeta. You wear this with jeans for a devastatingly casual look. Imported.

Pairs well with The Lightweight Denim Wide Legs (No. 2388).
