Icelandic Sweater

Not for the Faint of Heart.
Reykjavik, Iceland.
Enjoying a 12-hour layover (Reykjavik is wondrous), I find myself in a fishing supply store filled with a bit too much modernity.
There’s an old leather couch sitting across from an eerily empty aquarium save for the well-fed Moray eel slinking about.
The shopkeeper comes over to show me the antique fishing rods lining the walls. I didn’t like much in the store except for Jakob and his sweater. The fishing rods weren’t bad. The eel was, in retrospect, honest.
Icelandic Sweater (No. 6279). No-nonsense wool sweater. Rugged and eye-catching. The waffle knit weave doubles down in practicality by breathing exceptionally well and drying quickly, something that comes in handy after realizing the gutter needs immediate unclogging (again) or if, like Jakob, you fish in rough seas. Ribbed collar, sleeve cuffs, and hem. Raglan armholes and sleeves. Discovered in Iceland. Made in the USA.
