Victor Lazlo Shirt.

When Victor Lazlo got the “letters of transit” to Lisbon, I’d like to think that Ilsa would have made him get a few checked shirts like these to wear instead of that white suit.

I’m not telling stories out of school.

If you read Paul Henreid’s autobiography “Ladies Man” he goes on incessantly about having to wear a white suit that was completely unbecoming a freedom fighter.

(And where would he have found a dry cleaner?)

With his continental sophistication he would have liked these.

Portuguese Freedom Fighter Shirt (No. 2720). Original comes from a fine Gentleman’s haberdashery in Lisbon. 100% yarn dyed pure cotton, woven exclusively for us. Distinctive narrow placket. Collar stays. Unusual vertical 2 button cuffs, and V-shaped yoke.

Back yoke is cut on a bias for interest. Everything is crisp and clean. Bold enough to satisfy Lazlo’s confidence and aristocratic nature.

He would have donned a solid silk tie, under a safari jacket when he took Ilsa out to dinner so she could go on about Rick. Closure would take a while. Made in Portugal.
