From a distance you might think this is a fine wale corduroy, but then you touch it and immediately feel something more rugged, manly, and the opposite of fragile.

In the 19th century riders used whipcord (which has no relation to corduroy) in their breeches because of its durability and strength. Even today, mechanics use it in their overalls. This is how most suits and jackets get their start. The sheepherder or the soldier wears it because it serves a purpose. We realize after the fact how great it looks. Et voilà.Fashion.

Consider this a durable rogue that cleans up exceptionally well, giving you something rugged and sophisticated, something akin to the ideal modern man.

The Whipcord Blazer (No. 5355). 100% enzyme washed cotton whipcord (250 grams). Notch collar, standard shoulder pads, waist-shaping darts, faux suede elbow patches. Angled-welt pocket at left chest. Angled-besom pockets at hip with flap (rounded corners on flap). Faux suede trim on all pockets akin to the English boating blazer. Double-welt interior pockets at inside right and left chest. Fully lined in olive green taffeta. Imported.
