Not Your Staid Old Navy Blazer.
If you look up navy blue you’ll find it defined asa dark shade of blue.
By contrast, royal blue will turn up as a deep, vivid shade of blue.
It’s the vivid that changes the game isn’t it?
Even the word navy, despite its distinction as a branch of military, sounds less attractive than royal. Royal is rich, opulent and shiny. Navy is, well, navy. Don’t get me wrong; it has its place. But this is not a navy blazer.
I found this on the Amalfi Coast years ago; wore it to a few weddings in a few different colors. This color, a deep and vivid shade of blue, always delivered. Paired with a pair of white pants, you might just take the story in an entirely different direction. Even ol’ navy would salute you.
