Pleat-Front Wide Leg Pant
Storming the Sazerac.
New Orleans, 1949.
They’d had enough. Come hell or high water, they were stepping up.
Women wanted their own sloe gin fizz, and not just during Mardi Gras.
So, they stormed the Sazerac Bar of the Roosevelt New Orleans.
They imbibed. They laughed. They pushed for cultural and social change.
The question of who wore the pants was eternally answered.
And with some panache.
