LC Embroidered Dress
Feminine Is What Feminine Does.
In the beginning, there was embroidery.
Our Cro-Magnon ancestors discovered needlepoint, crudely stitching two pelts together to provide adequate coverage and warmth. Soon, warmth wasn’t enough. Soon, we had to preen. Same as it ever was.
Many things change, but the special feeling we get from delicate and fanciful embroidery has not. Only the fabrics. The complexity and artistry. Our ability to take flight both literally and figuratively, so that we might enjoy such embellishments with our feet in the tropical sand, or our heads in the proverbial clouds.
The Embroidered Dress (No. 5328). 100% cotton gauze. Grey floral embroidery at front and back bodice, extending down over the asymmetric and biased-cut skirt panels. Crochet trim at armhole and sweep. Back of skirt has single crochet panel at sweep and asymmetric panel with embroidery at opposite side. Scoop neckline, French bust darts, waist seam, bra keepers. Invisible zipper at wearer's left with hook-and-eye closure. Fully lined, low calf length. Imported.
