Black Watch Plaid Blazer
Anne, Duchess of Bedford, took a late afternoon tea break and turned it into a recognized fourth meal. Breakfast. Lunch. Afternoon Tea. Dinner. The British way. Now that’s influence. Makes me think I should be doing more to cause a stir.
Of course, “afternoon tea” is not to be confused with “elevenses” or your little ten-minute mid-morning tea break, nor is it to be confused with “high tea,” which is in the evening.
There are many other intricate details to plot out, such as the food: scones with clotted cream and jam, cucumber sandwiches (crustless, of course), cheese and pickles.
Here’s another very British treat.
Black Watch Plaid Blazer (No. 5440). Poshly appropriate for all tea times. Woolen fabric. Single-breasted with one button, princess seams, rounded, notched collar. Fully lined. Smart. Classic. Proper. Imported.
