LC Boiled Wool Jacket
We all remember wearing that old wool sweater handed down from our grandfather (which was handed down from his grandfather, which was handed down by someone who discovered the New World). They told us it was amazingly authentic but left out the part about it being a drafty strip of 24 grit sandpaper with sleeves. Few things can make you sweat and freeze at the same time.
In truth, wool is a prickly son of a gun which is why we’ve been agitating it (and it us) for centuries. However, the wool in this jacket has been boiled which tightens the fibers making it more dense. Warmer. It’s also Merino wool. The finer grit. The good stuff. Don’t tell your grandfather.
The Boiled Wool Jacket (No. 5082). 70% Merino wool, 30% acrylic. Bonded lining. Ribbed mock neck. Hidden zipper behind placket. Chest pockets, with diamond cut flaps.
