Cinque Terre Pullover Shirt
I gave myself firm orders.
Now John, go relax. Find nothing for my customers. (Knew you’d understand.)
Find nothing except peace of mind.
And maybe a table on the Italian Riviera.
I find a table at one of the little cafes, in Manarola, and order a bottle of Sciacchetra, the region’s sweet dessert wine. I spend the rest of the afternoon wondering what’s more beautiful: the deep blue sea or the pastel houses that hug the black cliffs.
Then it’s on to Via Litornea and hiking up through the vineyards to the Santuario della Madonna di Montenero the quintessential 14th-century Mediterranean church complete with a pink and yellow bell tower. From there, you can see the entire 11-mile coastline that makes up the Cinque Terre.
Okay, I didn’t quite pull it off. But I think you may be happy that I didn’t.
Cinque Terre Pullover Shirt (No. 2721). Found in a shop in Corniglia, the smallest of the five towns, a truly unique garment. A pullover, but made of lightweight 100% crisp Mediterranean cotton.
The four-button front closure features natural shell buttons. The distinctive, higher-than-normal stand collar has a tie loop in back and brass tack closure in front. Left chest pocket, adjustable button cuffs, clean finished seams and shaped hem with J. Peterman logo on the left.
Next time, I’ll really relax. Made in Portugal.
