Very large and rare corker for a magnum sized wine bottle.  Stands more than 4 feet tall. As indicated on two brass discs, it was manufactured in Paris: “BARBOU, 55 Rue Montmatre, Paris, Brevete SCDG.” Constructed of cast and wrought irons and solid brass with inlaid handle. Ca. 1890.
