Rare, original Singer Sewing Machine sign. The design is pressed on galvanized steel. Some wear around the edges, by the sign is in remarkable condition. The sign was designed by Leonetta Capiello, principally an Italian poster designer who lived in Paris. He is now called the father of modern advertising because of his innovative designs for posters and, in this case, galvanized metal. The sign reads LA COMPAGNIE, SINGER, MACHINES A COUDRE. Ca. 1910.
