Vintage French Wall Mounted Telephone.

This is an authentic Grammont Systeme Eurieult telephone manufactured by the Grammont Company. The beautiful walnut box has dove tail construction; the nickel plated brass phone has a Bakelite handle, and there is an additional “watch” receiver for use in a noisy environment or by another person. The hinged top can be opened to reveal the original works: coil, group switch, and magneto. The metal plaque reads: "ATEL rs COMSTR ELECTR de LYON & du DAUPHINE/ Fabrication GRAMMONT/ 10 Rue D'UZES – PARIS." On both ear pieces: "EURIEULT PARIS – STe GRAMMONT S eur." France, Ca. 1915.
