This is an authentic Grammont Systeme Eurieult Type 10 1915 telephone. The walnut wooden top box has dove tail construction, on a walnut post mounted on a hard Bakelite base. There is a button on the base which connects the stack ring to the line when pressed. The metal plaque is stamped: "Ste des Porcelaines & Appareillages Electriques/ GRAMMONT/ Systeme EURIEULT/ 10, Rue d'Uzes, Paris." Stamped in the wood on the top box: "Type 10 No 33682." The earpiece reads: "Propriete De L'Etat Societe Des Telephones Picart_Lebas." The phone is nickel plated brass with comfort grip handle. The unit has an additional "watch" receiver for use in a noisy environment or by another person. France, Ca. 1915.
