The Good Intent. The sign comes from Petersfield, Hampshire, a market town 17 miles north of Portsmouth in the south of England. The inn and pub, originally a sixteenth century coaching inn, is named after the ship whose timbers are incorporated into the building. It depicts an inshore naval cutter used for coastal defenses around 1800. Hand-painted on resin, both sides.
