19th Century French cutting board with attached guillotine style knife. A rare find, the heavy solid board has a beautiful aged patina and shows a century’s worth of knife marks. The guillotine style slicer is hand-forged solid steel. A very decorative kitchen item and wonderful display piece in a bakery or restaurant. Languedoc-Roussillon region of Southern France. Ca. 1890.
