Bistro bar-tab coasters came with each drink or snack and were stacked up throughout the service to tally the bill. Today they would be excellent for hors d'oeuvres and nibbles of all kinds. These coasters came out of The Café des Promenades in Tonnerre, established in 1880. It was locked and untouched for 41 years until the key was turned in January, 2009. Assorted franc denominations.
