Single beam cast iron counter scale from the respected British manufacturer of weighing machines, W & T Avery, who were founded in the early 18th century. The embossing on the scale reads as follows: “W & T Avery, To Weigh 2 Lb.” The scale is complete with brass load and weight pans as well as a set of 4 iron weights (1 lb, 8 oz, 4 oz, 2 oz). England, Ca. 1890.
