Avery 1 lb Scale

A rare smaller size single beam counter scale for the weighing of candies or spice using the Roberval system. A Roberval scale is an equal-arm beam with pans above the beam. The pans are stabilized by a leg and stay underneath the beam. The principle was invented by a French mathematician, Gilles Roberval, in 1669.
