Without looking up, she says in a midwestern American accent "I said, it looks like you're struggling."

"No, I make chocolates. Looking for the right beans. You?"

"I make clothes. Wear testing a new sun-proof fabric."

She glances at my sunburn. "You're kind of odd, aren't you?"

I politely select another truffle. "Yes, yes, I am."
