Dinner always at 7 p.m.
Oliver always wears this shirt.
28 years and counting, we gather on this night.
This year, tonight, we’re at Wentworth Mansion in Charleston, home to the very first Memorial Day celebrated in the United States in 1865.
Fourteen of us.
Oliver fought in the Battle of Monte Cassino, some say the hardest battle in WWII (he never said that, though). He was part of the 36th U.S. Infantry Division (Texas
division).
As usual, he opens, “Honor, God, Family, and Tradition.”
A slight pause, waiting, waiting...
“Fireworks and hot dogs!” his grandson blurts as usual. “Fireworks and hot dogs!”
Traditions are important.
Keep to them.

It has Oliver’s same unusual hidden button placket partially down the front. French seams, six buttons on center front placket (top three are visible and bottom three are hidden by placket). Topstitching around collar, armhole, sleeve placket.

Colors: Blue Stripe, Solid Blue.
