I first saw this jacket in a shop in Durango.
1880's silver mining boomtown.
Inspired Louis L'Amour to write his Sackett series.
At the turn of the last century it could have also been found in places like Cheyenne, Carson City and Abilene.
A true western classic.
Durango Rancher's Jacket (No. 2735). 100% cotton twill weave brushed to a medium weight, with cotton poplin lining, drawstring waist and center yoke. Front zipper closure and flap with antique brass finish metal snaps that are everywhere.
Six snaps down the front; two on the center back vent; adjustable snap cuffs, and a very practical snap tab closure under the contrasting point collar.
And seven pockets.
Double-entry front pockets with flap and snap closure. Angled chest pockets with leather pull-zip closure. Three interior pockets, including a patch pocket with the J. Peterman logo.
Looks equally good in Durango or your local downtown. Imported.
Men's sizes: S, M, L, XL, XXL.
