Villa Hopping.

The original lives with my friend Mira, who owns a villa in Tuscany facing her "cute" little medieval village on the hillside in Chianti.

She said the blouse helps her remember her roots.

(Her "old country" roots go back to her great-great-grandfather who, it appears, once had a brief, scandalous affair in Hungary.)

I noticed on my last visit she paired her blouse with skinny jeans and sandals.

"The yin and the yang, Peterman," she said, as she grabbed my arm and said ominously, "We're going to the Gorgonis and they're into all sorts of mischief these days."

Naturally, this take on a time-honored look came from the hottest boutique in Milan.
