Last Chance Dept.
French women have perfected this.
— Gather the chiffon material of this dress at the back of your legs.
— About six inches or so above the hemline press a coin through the bunched material so its shape shows through the front.
— Take a rubber band or hair tie and tie it off around the outline of the coin showing through the front. Voila! The bottom of your dress has become a pair of shorts. Temporarily, of course.
— Put on this unconstructed blazer with the gorgeous lapels and tie the silk chiffon scarf around your neck, making sure it drapes over your back so the wind can do its job.
— Hop on your grandmother’s classic Schwinn (go into the garage and look up to your left) and proceed to your favorite farmers’ market, picnic spot or park. If you happen to be in Paris where this scenario is almost too good to be true, proceed to the Seine. Along it, not in it.
Unstructured Blazer (No. 4911). A light linen and cotton blend. Drape front with wide, flowy lapels (you’ll love them). No collar. Three-quarter sleeves. Front besom pockets with two-piece pointed flap. Angled front bottom hem. Merrow stitching along neckline, hem and drape front. Back yoke.
Women’s sizes: 0 through 20.
