Million Mile Dress

A niece of mine bummed around the world with just 13 pounds of luggage. (Half of it cosmetics.) Now vice president at Chase, she still travels light. One trip, only one dress. This one.

Folded into the corner of a canvas bag, this dress emerged to charm Tibetan monks, she said. Shrugged off a week’s wrinkles to catch Faust at L’Opera. Survived a hectic day at work, then swirled into dinner at Frankfurt. Boogied all night at a Tokyo dance club.

The Million Mile Dress (No. 2895). Buttery 100% extra fine merino wool. Dropped empire waist. Soft, slimming, jersey knit bottom. Designed by someone who really loves women. A flossy, fitted ribbed top. Flattering, feminine neckline. Upper calf length. Chaste and sexy with boots, Italian bag, jewelry, scarves—conjure multiple personalities. Imported.

Women’s sizes: XXS, XS, S, M, L, XL.

Colors: Blue Night, Red Clay.

Perfect dress for any occasion.
I now own four of this dress, in different colors. It absolutely lives up to its description by JP. The colors, the drape, the fit, the demure but still sexy length, and its invitation to accessorise all combine to make this the perfect dress for everything from High Mass to a night out on the town.

best most versatile dress for fall/winter/spring
after wearing the first one two years, (in green) i have purchased one in oatmeal- need i say more? they still look new, are as soft as my cashmere garments and flatter my figure (busty and not flat tummy). the length is lovely - versatile . the bodice detailing is subtle and expensive looking. sometimes i wear it with a scarf, or a statement piece necklace, or even with a crochet long vest. i feel feminine and classy-highly recommended

Didn't meet my expectations
I had been looking at this dress for a long time and finally ordered it. When it arrived, I was a bit surprised at the quality of the fabric. Even though it is 1006erino wool, it feels more like acrylic. It is, however, comfortable to wear. I am 5 feet 9 inches and medium fit me fine. I am just glad I did not pay full price for the dress.

Buttery
Years ago I bought this beautiful J. Peterman dress in brown and loved it. I just received the navy, and it is every bit as beautiful as the original. The buttery merino wool is fabulous for travel. It's almost a midnight navymy favorite. So glad I found the dress again. I'm 5'4 and the dress falls a few inches below my kneesperfect for boots, but I found a pair of matching navy suede flats to wear with it. Wonderful for the holidays! (Now if you will bring back the original wool gabardine double breasted midnight navy blazer, I'd be really happy. Mine is threadbare.)

Perfect!
I love this dress. Perfect for a lady of age when paired with a nice light jacket, or a younger lady alone. It is easy to wear, clean, and wear again. It can be dressed up or dressed down. When I have a pile of it does not feel right today clothes, I reach for this dress, and it feels perfect. I Love it!

nice dress
Very nice dress. One of the reviews said it did not itch even her very sensitive skin. It itched my NOT so sensitive skin. The sleeves were also very long, but I loved the colors & workmanship. Very much worth the price but am returning because of the feel.

Pretty dress
I got this in blue medium when I was 20 pounds heavier. It looked awful, but I kept it as a reward for losing weight, and now it looks great. Love the fabric. My only quibble is the length. Even in the photo it looks longer than it really is. I think the style dictates a longer length, and it bothers me a little every time I wear the dress. Unless you wear over the knee boots, you will see a gap between the hem and the boot top. And I'm not tall (5'5). However, a man I know described the dress as hot, which when you're 68 is not unpleasant to hear.

Soft and Cuddly - Warm Color
Since I travel for business a lot, I was looking for something that could switch between the early Spring cold of Wisconsin and the early Spring warmth of Kentucky, and can be dressed up or down. This dress does it! Flattering and soft, I can't wait to put on a couple accent pieces and black mid-calf riding boots to strut in this warm, red dress!

Fabulous Dress
This dress is so elegant. The color is rich and the knit is soft and comfortable. I am very sensitive to scratchy material and this is not at all uncomfortable. The fit is a bit loose around ribs but still a nice look.

wonderful dress
Im allergic to wool (lanolin), but I thought Id try this dress. It works with my silk undergarments very well. I bought it in every color and I expect to be wearing it often this winter. BTW, it looks great on.

Great dress (especially for the price).
Rarely do I buy wool, living in the South. Your merino wool, though, simply works. This dress and two others, as well as sweaters and pants-with-matching-top, you bring off, all in wool, all perfectly made, and comfortable. This dress goes anywhere alone or dressed up a bit. The fit is perfect for me. The same is true of your Vanishing Point dress. Amazing, all of them. Love them.

So wanted this to work
Im 5 5, 145#,36C bust - and the fit of the Medium was fine. The fabric is fabulous - you just cant beat merino wool for lightweight warmth and comfort. As the description says, the waist is highter than a natural waistline. The photo is somewhat accurate the illustration is not. I say somewhat because (at least on my figure) I saw no trace of the slight fit of the bodice easing into a looser skirt: it was just straight. Be prepared to push up or role the sleeves, too - unless you like the trend toward hand-covering long sleeves. A quality garment that just didnt work for me.
