A day trip later they are strolling the 19th century rosecovered gardens of Villa Serbelloni in Lake Como.
He's looking so good in his linen pants (sans jacket), polo shirt, and a light silk sweater, that it's difficult for her to maintain her distance.
There are suit days and there are not suit days.

A man sits in a café in the Piazza Duomo.
Is it the crisp spring day that is making him feel as if he owned the world?

The classic linen suit. Jacket and pants sold separately.
Striped Suit Jacket (No. 3285). Hand-tailored in lightweight linen from Angelico, the venerable mill in Biella. Single breasted. Two buttons. Front panels and sleeves lined; back is half lined. Notch collar with felt under collar. Double back vent.
Pinstripe is made even subtler by a process called variegating. Genuine corozo buttons are fully functional on the sleeves. The cognoscenti will take in all the details. Dinner later at Cracco-Peck? (Reservations, for you, I suspect, will not be an issue.)
