He noticed us. We noticed him. Cue the proverbial nods.
After he procured his cocktail (I believe it was a Hendricks and Fever-Tree Tonic garnished with a slice of cucumber), we shook hands and proceeded to plot our escape. He had a car. Ten minutes later the four of us were in it. Gone. Laughing like school boys who’d just lifted the head mistress’ keys on their way to the coeds.
Rosoff asked him how he got into the party.
“I’m the host,” he replied.
The rest of the night is unsuitable for print.

The Paisley Shirt (No. 4660). An airy linen and cotton blend. French seams. Pointed collar with removable stays. Sleeve cuff with mitered corner. Adjustable button at cuff with contrast fabric inside. Sleeve placket with one button. Side seam with 1/4” 2 needle topstitch. Back yoke with inner facing in contrast fabric (same as inside cuff).
