The Roman Advances.

Let’s not pretend Rome is what it used to be.

That does not mean it isn’t still Rome. The Sant’Angelo Bridge at night. Rome’s 13th Rione. The Spanish Steps. The Trevi Fountain is still fed with water by one of the 11 original aqueducts. Google it.

Rome is and will always be Rome.

And this dress will always be perfect for Rome whether you’re there or want to feel like you’re there. If you are, the Campo de’ Fiori market is a must. An open air fading gem with a few vendors who still remember a time when every region had its own open air market (sadly not all still do). Ovoli mushrooms. The most beautiful roses and Italian lavender. Handmade salad spoons everyone will ask you about.

This is a beautiful, well-made dress. It's dressy, but flexible so it calls for an occasion but not one of those rare formal events. If you are petite, you might find the straps a bit long and the bust a bit big. The boning adds shape and is flattering, but can be occasionally uncomfortable. Skirt is great for dancing. True to size.

Very cute, but too short-waisted
I really liked this dress. The fabric is lovely the design unusual, but it was just too short-waisted. If it had been an 1, even 1/2 longer in the bodice it would have ben a keeper.

Compliments galore!
Prepare to receive many compliments on this one! I'm a size 6 but have a large bosom - the size 8 is a perfect fit!

Really Cute Dress
The only reason I didn't give this dress 5 stars is the tailoring it needs. Straps are long and the dress length is past my knee. I'm petite and this dress is a regular length so that's not the dress's fault. The material is medium weight brushed cotton. It has enough weight to hold its shape but is soft to the touch and will be cool n the summer. Dress is lined. The bodice section has boning that holds up the girls and nips the waist in. Stretch back helps with comfort! the sweet heart neckline is low cut enough. The little self-material dots are a nice detail. The bodice seam does roll down a little on me, but I think that's a symptom of the straps being too long. The colors are what I call bright earth-tones. The muted colors ground the pattern somewhat. The colors could carry this into warm fall days for sure. Over all, it's a great dress. One of those dresses you could throw in the bag on vaca and wear it everywhereto the beach, to dinner, to a show. It is an investment piece at the price. Well worth it.
