The 12 Days of Christmas
Last Chance Dept.
A few things the English couldn’t keep all to themselves:
The Duke (no not John Wayne), Edward VII, brought houndstooth into mainstream popularity with his dashing attire, establishing the print as a symbol of wealth and prestige.
He also stretched its colorful legs by taking it from the traditional black and white to more offbeat colors. All the designers soon followed.
We’re testing the waters with this shirt. Pair it with a jacket and tie and gain a bit of separation from the pack.
The Houndstooth Shirt (No. 5095). 100% cotton. Spread collar with removable stays. Adjustable two-button cuff with rounded corners. One pleat at cuff seam. Buttoning patch pocket at wearer’s left.
