Last Chance Dept.
Hair down; armor stripped away; a moment to yourself in front of the mirror.
A woman putting on something innocent and modest for bed, something beautifully simple, may be, despite what we’ve been told, the most sensual thing she can do.
This nightgown is simple and beautiful. Soft cotton with bell sleeves. It covers you down to the floor. The embroidery and crochet along the neckline are tastefully unbusy. The satin ribbon is delicate and laced through just below the neckline.
The color is somewhere between sea foam and the patina on a copper weathervane from a 19th century English farmhouse. That is also the time period this nightgown would have been seen, streaming down halls by candlelight, old oak floors creaking underfoot, innocently sneaking into his room.
The 19th Century Nightgown (No. 4935). 100% cotton. Relaxed three-quarter bell sleeves. Ankle length. Scoop neckline. Contrasting color satin ribbon. Embroidery and crochet at front yoke. Straight bottom hem. Seven sets of three small stitched down pleats below yoke seam.
Women’s sizes: XXS, XS, S, M, L, XL.
