The Midnight Girl.

"For God’s sake Scott, just put him in one of your stories."

The rumor (unsubstantiated, of course) is that she stormed out of her room at midnight and broke up a fight between F. Scott Fitzgerald and George Reemus in the halls of the Seelbach. If true (of course not), this would have been around 1918, when Scott was stationed at Camp Taylor in Louisville.

A former teetotaler turned swashbuckling bootlegger, Reemus would go on to murder his wife in the street after discovering her affair with the FBI agent who sent him to prison.

Scott would go on to write a book about a fellow named Gatsby.

The girl would go on to inspire more events (but surely not this one) of varying historical and cultural significance. Some in this nightgown.

The 1920’s Nightgown (No. 4426). In a difficult to ignore red with cream lace. Fitted style with an empire waist with self-fabric tie in back. Lace detail on shell of waistline. Made from sleek viscose taffeta with french seam finishes. Ankle length.

They will listen to your reason whether it’s reasonable or not. Imported.

Women’s sizes: XXS, XS, S, M, L, XL.

Color: Red.

Gorgeous...Size Up if You're Busty
This is a lovely gown with authentic materials and details. However, those that are at all well endowed should size up a size. J Peterman gowns usually run a little large, but this one fits like a glove in the waist and hips and is on the small side in the bust. I ordered this in a small and so wish I'd ordered a medium. The fabric is a nice, light rayon, the lace is lovely and it is bias cut with French seams. I'm hoping that I get luckier with the new red color. It's even beautiful enough for a honeymoon.
