The J. Peterman Duster.

Classic horseman’s duster protects you, your rump, your saddle and your legs down to the ankles.

Because it’s cut very long to do the job, it’s unintentionally very flattering. With or without a horse.

Although I live in horse country, I wear this coat for other reasons. Because they don’t make Duesenbergs anymore.

It doesn't gat any better
Love my duster. I started to return it for a smaller size. Then I remembered the neck size and noticed the sleeve length with my arms out stretched. It is unusualy long in length. But I think that's what attracted me to it. I already own the other bone white duster offered by Pete. Love them both.

Still Going Strong
I bought this coat so long ago I don't remeber exactly how old it is. Since I know it was before my daughter was born, at least 26 years. It kept me dry many, many Fall and Winter seasons. I wore it fathfully every day on my commute to NYC. NOTHING better defending your expensive suits from the splash of an angry cab or wind driven rain and snow. I just had it cleaned, and had to have the zipper repaired and am handing it down to my son. It's showing its wear on the seams, but let's just say the patina' makes it look even better. I hope he gets many years of use and enjoys it as much as I have.

Excellent / First Rate. You don't get no better!
I've owned a cream colored J. Peterman horseman's duster since the mid 1990's. Worn it on hundreds of Trail Rides & camping trips all over the New Mexico and Colorado Rocky Mountains. It has held up thru countless snows, rain, sleet and hail storms....on horseback, or driving around in my truck on errands,or going out to feed my horses on blustery days! Damn fine duster. Need another in 3XL now. My original has been thru hell and back! THANKS. J.S. Stoffel Saddlery

Great Duster!
I bought the original Horseman's Duster in 1996 or 1997 when I was living in California. I got this to protect my jeans and legs during the frequent fall rains that occur in Northern California. The only problem that I have ever had with this duster is the length, but since I am only 5'3 inches tall, the problem was mine and not with the duster. I had it shortened to fit my shorter status and it has been great to wear ever since. I am now back home in my native Texas and am still wearing this duster. It has held up extremely well in my travels, but I will say that it blends in better in Texas than California. I have received many compliments while wearing this and there is still a lot of wear left in it. I will also say that it is very comfortable to wear and you won't regret getting one of your own
