“You're Mad! There's No
History There, It's All in Egypt.”

Superfine Twill Shirt in Dark Taupe.

An advanced urban civilization thriving deep in the heart of Africa nearly 3,000 years ago.

The idea seemed laughable to most people back in ancient 1964, but not to Swiss archaeologist Charles Bonnet.

He packed his steamer trunks, headed for Nubia in the Sudan, uncovered an entire culture including larger-than-life statues of the Black Pharaohs who once ruled Egypt up north.

The man is astute about where to dig; and he's also astute (to get to the immediate point) about what to wear when he's digging.

Instead of a conventional safari shirt, the openminded Bonnet wears the same superfine cotton-twill shooting shirt favored by upper-crust European sportsmen. Active-spirited style in a tough but wonderfully soft fabric that keeps a person cool when it's hot, warm when it's cool.

Superfine Twill Shirt in Tan

It's perfect for a semidesert region where temperatures can vary up to 80 degrees from day to night (similar to transition from restaurant to parking lot at Nobu Los Angeles.)

Superfine Twill Shirt (No. 2367), favored by M. Bonnet; adventurous, practical, a bit luxurious. Big bellows pockets. Epaulettes. Straight-cut hem. Adjustable pleated cuffs. Works well with a tie when accepting awards at the Explorers Club.

Men's sizes: S, M, L, XL, XXL.

Colors: Dark Taupe, Tan.
