Windup Rotisserie popular among hunters in the south of France for 150 years. Portable and easy to use. Designed to slowly turn a roast or bird for approximately 25 minutes per winding. Central winding mechanism rings when time is up. Comes with a spit. Adjustable positions to regulate heat intensity. The iron case houses clock-like brass movement; cast iron, and steel. Ca. 1850s.
