Very tall windup Rotisserie popular among hunters in the south of France for 150 years. Portable and easy to use. Designed to slowly turn a roast or bird for approximately 25 minutes per winding. Central winding mechanism rings when time is up.

Comes with an “umbrella” spit for fowl and a regular spit for threading meat. Adjustable positions to regulate heat intensity. Embossed medallion, solid brass, cast iron, and steel. Ca. 1850s. (Exterior restored working order.)
