Vintage wine bottle corker made by B.F. Paris. This is their very large La Meilleure ("the best") model, made in 1925. It is made of heavy duty cast iron with brass fittings and wooden handle. It is fully functional. The post is embossed with: LA MEILLEURE Btle S.G.D.G. (sans garantie du government, patented, i.e., without government guarantee, a legal mention freeing the state from any responsibility for the proper functioning of the device) B.F.PARIS.
