There were two passenger ships in the White Star Line that bore the name Doric. This pub sign illustrates the second Doric launched in 1922. She measured 575 feet, sported two funnels, two masts and offered accommodation for 600 cabin and 1700 third class passengers. This ship made regular trips across the Atlantic between Liverpool and the Canadian ports of Quebec and Montreal. Tetley is a beer brewed in Leeds, West Yorkshire, founded in 1822 by Joshua Tetley. It grew to become a large regional brewery with a number of “tied” public houses, that is, owned by the brewery and leased or managed by a landlord. Hand painted on two sides with frame.
