Ring O’ Bells is often the name for a pub used by the local bell-ringers. “Ring of bells” is a term often applied to a set of bells hung in English style in a church tower. The distinctive feature of the English-style rings is that they are hung for full circle ringing: each bell is suspended from a wooden headstock which in turn is connected to the bell frame allowing the bell to swing freely through just over 360º. This structure is prominently illustrated on this hand painted sign. Thwaites Brewery is a regional brewery founded in 1807 by Daniel Thwaites in Eanam Wharf Blackburn, Lancashire, England. Double sided with wooden frame.
