Sturdy galvanized steel can with detachable brass facing rose. Already having seen more than a hundred years of work, it is perfectly functional. These long spouted watering cans were developed so that Victorian gardeners could water wide swaths of plantings bordering their English country estates. Because the spout is mounted at the base, less tipping is required. It has a brass plaque which reads: 3/4 GALLON. England, Ca. 1900.
