A pair of handsome 19th century chenets in the French Napoleon III style. Heavy cast iron with fluted shaft and solid brass sphere finial. They would make excellent bookends as well. Discovered in Lodeve in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of southern France. Late 19th century.
