Very Audrey.

Everyone knows an Audrey.

The French writer Colette (frizzy henna curls, bright rouge circles on her ancient cheeks) is being pushed in a wheelchair through the dining room of the Hôtel de Paris in Monte Carlo. Suddenly, she sees this unknown wide-eyed beauty and raises a bony finger: “Voilà! That’s my Gigi!”

I met my wife, Audrey, at Scotty’s outside Tappan. She always seemed to bring her dates there the nights I worked.

Along with the Vermeer face and dancer’s legs, Audrey has a knack for wearing exactly the right things, from big floppy hats to ballet flats, and turning them into classics.

Boatneck Ballet Tee (No. 2354). With three-quarter sleeves and wide scoop neck to show off your fabulous collarbones. The fabric is a silky long-staple pima cotton with a bit of stretchy stuff for fit. Imported.

Women's sizes: XXS, XS, S, M, L, XL.

Sooo Much Better than any basic tee!
I already have this top in black. Love it. Ordered the white. Note that my white top is not a bright, crisp-like white. It is more of a flat white. Just FYI. The neck line is so flattering and many don't realize the back follows the same line, which at first feels awkward as most of us have tees where the back comes to the bottom of the neck. But this is what makes this a unique look. Less tight hugging around the chest area than I thought it would be, which is good for me because as a size small 4-6, I am 34C. A perfect top for any pant or straighter skirt. Neckline will beautifully display jewelry.

True red.
It's difficult to find a true red but this Ballet Boatneck Tee is it. I'm 5'6, 144# and I ordered a medium. It fits perfectly. Thanks J Peterman.

Beautiful top
It finally arrived in my favorite long-awaited color, (Red) the fit was almost perfect. It was just a little long on me, since I'm 5'3 and have a short torso. But will have it altered, because it's worth it! I love the neckline, the fabric and, of course, the color. I probably will order another color now. I'm very pleased with my purchase!

need better colors
have had my eye on this for some time, but have not purchased because I really don't care for any of the color pallets recently. These mustands and green-browns and rust colors are not flattering for me. I'd like to see some happy colors out of Google's material palette - I would probably buy several.

Really Comfortable
I haven't worn it out yet, so can't give a five star, but I have tried it on...very comfortable. Looking to purchase several whites, and a coral color soon. Superb material.

Lovely, though just a touch long for Petites
Recognize that J. Peterman does not cater to petites, so what I can buy from them is limited by that but outside of being just a tad longer than I normally like this top is one of my favorites. I'm 5' tall, very busty 63 y.o.. The neckline is very flattering, and just scooped enough not to be sweltering on warmer days or nights, the 3/4 sleeve makes it usable all year long down here in the south. Like others, this is one I have bought several of. The fabric has a nice hand and holds up to repeated washing. Wish I wouldn't of missed the purple and coral one in Medium, hoping they restock.

Bad label
Nice shirt, nice fabric, but the label is very scratchy and uncomfortable.

Finders Keepers!!
When my girlfriends raid my wardrobe (OFTEN!) I'm forced to hide these wonderful shirts! Also known as the Ballet Boatneck Tee in other colors, I have as many as my budget allows & more than my hubby thinks I should have! More colors would be as good as a larger clothing allowance! They work well w/ skirts, jeans & shorts & are form fitted enough to layer well. Keep em coming JP!

Love! Need more colors...
I own this shirt in white, butter, teal and maroon, and am anxiously awaiting more colors (coral, chocolate, hunter... Please, Mr, Peterman!). It is a perfect shirt, IMO. The neck is more distinctive than your basic scoop, but more scoopy than a boat neck. And the fabric has the right amount of stretch, fitted but not clingy. I'd throw away most of my other shirts and just wear these, but, ahem, need more colors.

The Perfect Tee
I bought one of these in yellow a couple of years ago. When I first got it it was a bit to tight. I would wear it with a cardigan over it. I've been losing weight and have lost 150 pounds over the last couple of years. When I got the tee out last year I loved it. I bought a black and a white one recently as we are heading towards fall. 3/4 length sleeves are perfect for fall winter and early spring here in Texas. I just love the neckline on this tee. It is different and definitely Audrey but not so dramatic that you feel uncomfortable wearing it for everyday wear. I hope you keep making these so that I can continue getting them in smaller sizes as I continue to lose weight!

I thought this was a lot to pay for a t-shirt. I was wrong.
I ordered one of these in blackand paid full price, which means I really, really wanted itwhen they were first offered. I finally had to ditch it, lo these many years later, and I am back for more. Great fit, long-lasting fabric and the color held up well. FYI, I am 57, 5'3 and busty. A medium fits fine and the lower neckline keeps me from looking even busty-er.

It's solid
On the negative side, the neckline on this tee was not quite as deeply rounded, front or back, as I was hoping. So the tee lacks a certain drama. On the positive side, the fabric has a nice hand and heft to it. This is not a cotton that reveals every dimple or bra seam beneath it.

Beautiful, classic, lasting wear
Ever a dancer or wished to be? This wonderful fabric & deceptively lovely styling achieves the look of a well-cut leotard. Effortlessly flattering & youthful.

Only sorry I had only purchased one (in black). Buying more. Fit well (even though I'm pudgy), love the neckline. Perfect world? A little shorter (I'm short) and long, vs. 3/4 sleeves, but those are only quibbles. Washes well too.

My favorite shirts in all the world!
Wearing these shirts is so comfortable, I neglect my other tops!! I love the neckline, the stretchy feel to the material, the colors and the length of sleeve. A total thumbs up.

I had been eyeing these for a while. Not sure of my size (chesty and 59), I ordered one large and one xl, figuring Id send one back. Well, I like them both. The L is a trimmer fit on me, but the XL also has nice flow and looks great over pants. Luckily I got 2 different colors.

Tees, you say? What? Surely not
If you put a gun to my head, I couldn't you tell you how many of these perfect-in-ever-respect tees I own. When first you offered them, I ordered, and ordered, and ordered. As new colors have come out of hiding, I ordered yet more. Well-made, flattering, comfortable. Who could ask for anything more?

Comfy Retro
I have been looking for a 50s style shirt to wear with a circle skirt and retro style jeans. This shirt totally fits the bill. It is form fitting without being skin tight, so my pudgy bits dont show but its not so loose that it makes me look bigger. The neckline is beautiful, nice and wide without showing off the bra straps. My only complaint is its a little long given that I prefer to tuck it to high-waisted skirts and pants. I might hem it at some point. That being said, I liked the persimmon so much (its a muted orange) I just ordered one in the Rose color. I really wanted one in Emerald but they are out of my size :(
